I am putting you down as "whiner and complainer # 31"...or maybe "33" in honor of Lew Alcindor...

Yep. I should just shut up and tell everyone how great this is. People can have fun - and I hope they do - but seriously, have you listened to this from start to finish?
If so, please explain to me why this is a "must see" tour.... Hell, I'm starting to understand the DSO thing.

I saw a fella by the name of John Prine last night in a small theatre. Apparently he has written some good songs and continues to bring new arrangments to the same with a crack band of younger guns. And he played for nearly 3 hours without a set break. So what do I know about live music?

...there's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes...

"Apparently he has written some good songs ... " LOL - Prine still has it, too. I saw him last year with that band and they were terrific.

Bob Dylan's recent interview where he cites Prine as among his favorite songwriters:

Dylan: Prine’s stuff is pure Proustian existentialism. Midwestern mindtrips to the nth degree. And he writes beautiful songs. I remember when Kris Kristofferson first brought him on the scene. All that stuff about “Sam Stone” the soldier junky daddy and “Donald and Lydia,” where people make love from ten miles away. Nobody but Prine could write like that. If I had to pick one song of his, it might be “Lake Marie.” I don’t remember what album that’s on.

[He did Lake Marie last night]

Hey BD, you know I am trying...well, at least if you have seen my posts with a smattering of less than negative comments...but, the truth is I have to "try" so I suppose that's why I am lumped appropriately enough in there with you as W&C # 8....

Ive listened to a couple of the shows and ya, they sound pretty weak to me. Go, have fun, but honestly I don't see why anyone would bother listening to a copy of these shows.

Hey AJ they played So many Roads again...I bet it was sweet.....
